Microsoft Appoints Partner of NetApp For Storage Solutions
NetApp announces that it has been named Microsoft Partner of the Year for the case of the Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Storage category. NetApp was selected among several top international partner of Microsoft for its ability to provide solutions to market in a Microsoft Hyper-V. This prize, awarded by a panel of judges from Microsoft, reflects the longstanding collaboration of Microsoft and NetApp with its commitment to help Microsoft customers to do more with less in Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint Server, SQL Server and Hyper -V.
NetApp was selected as Solutions Partner of the year on the basis of its partnership with Microsoft and its complete solutions that enable customers to reduce costs, optimize efficiency and improve storage availability in virtual environments. With NetApp, customers of Microsoft can reduce the amount of storage they need at least 50%, when using NetApp technologies such as thin provisioning and deduplication. Earlier this year NetApp has announced an exclusive program to increase the efficiency of storage, which ensures customers that operate in a Hyper-V using 50% less storage compared to traditional storage.
The guarantee of NetApp can help to minimize investment costs and risks and allows customers to achieve greater use of storage in their virtual servers and desktop environments. To improve the management system to optimize storage and backup, recovery and remote replication environments in Hyper-V Windows Server 2008, NetApp uses a variety of technologies based on Windows Server platform.
